Glenbrook Community Eruv

The used bladecenter server that was installed yesterday is making a lot of noise. I am thinking that the fact that we only paid about a hundred dollars for it, may have something to do with it. I really trusted the guy that was in the alley with all of the servers in his trunk. He was wearing a suit and told me that he had just closed his office and was trying to sell everything quick and cheap.

I offered him the hundred dollars and he took it. I called my brother in law to install it into my office and he did it overnight. He did say that it may not last long, but I figured that for a hundred dollars, it might not last for years, but a few months would be good.

I had been looking for a used server anyway, but the one that I was going to order was a used iseries server that I had found online for a few thousand dollars. So when I got the used bladecenter, I thought that I could put off buying the used iseries server for now.

By the sounds that the server was making, I figured that I best just get online and order the used iseries so that when the bladecenter decided to go, I would have a replacement on hand.

I bought two used sun servers for a surprise for my son’s new business. He had told me that he had bought a used server from a buddy but did not know how reliable it was. I went online and found a company that refurbishes them and then resells them. I knew that he would be excited to get them and that would take some of the stress off of the grand opening.

When I ordered his used sun servers, I also ordered a used sun ultra desktop for myself. I never spend money on anything I want so I just decided to splurge a little and get a computer that I could keep in the computer just for me. I hate having to wait for my husband to get off of the one in the computer room before I can check my email every night.

The grand opening was scheduled for a Friday night, and I gave my son the sun servers on the Wednesday before so he could get them installed and working properly before the big night. He was so happy that I think I saw him shed a tear or two.

Our whole family was there for the grand opening and it went off without a hitch. My son was showing everyone the back room and the used sun servers that I had gotten him and that he installed himself.
